2,000 (600 in town, 1,400 in surrounding area)

Wool, woolen goods, cattle, sheep, leather and leather goods. Silver, tin, some gold.

Food, timber (softwoods), Luxury goods, Iron ore

Government:
Armstead is a Borderland of Darokin, and as such is ruled by a Magistrate. The current Magistrate is Aeren Trest.

There is also a town council, whose 6 members are elected by a simple majority. Anyone who owns land within the Magistracy's borders worth more than 100 daros may vote.

Town Watch:
Armstead is patrolled by 4 constables and one chief of the Watch, Simon Trest.

Companies:
Only one company works Armstead proper - Tel's.

Tel's company is composed of 6 mercenaries, including their leader, Tel. They do contract guard work, guarding; mine caravans from the mines above Armstead to Armstead and then on to Nemiston; steel, luxury good and food caravans from Nemiston to Armstead; leather and wool caravans from Armstead to Nemiston; and the yearly herding, from Armstead to Nemiston.

Religion:
There are many Gods and Goddesses given their due in Darokin, and Armstead represents a reasonable cross-section of them all.

There are four actual churches in Armstead. The first is the temple of Sorwe, Goddess of Healing. The second is the Church of Traladara, which holds Halav, God of Battle Wisdom, Zirchev, God of the Woods and its creatures and Petra, Goddess of Defenders in reverence. The third church is dedicated to both Kagyar and Wayland, Gods of Artisans. The final church belongs to Asterius, God of Merchants and Koryis, God of Peace and Prosperity.

In addition, Vanya (Goddess of War and Conquerers), Valerius (Goddess of Love and Passion, Girder on of Weapons) and Theraina (Goddess of Music) all have a sizeable following in Armstead.
