I came to Melbourne about a month ago, from Launceston. So far, I've been trying to establish a secure haven, and to try and build up influence over a small group of humans - mostly SCA members and groupies. My degree is enough to get their attention, and then my powers are enough to keep them close. I've managed to feed three of them enough blood that they are my direct vassals.
I recently finally met the vampires in Melbourne - not exactly what I expected. Helena and Daria had been sent to find me - apparently Daniel, my warrior, has been a bit too noticable. From what Ginger said, I was expecting something a bit more... formal, I guess.
I think I got off on the wrong foot with Helena - she seems supseptible to the influence. At least it increased my resolve to sort myself out first. It seems that there are other powers too - influence over animals and all the things you see in the movies. Something to invesitgate. However, they can't eat or drink, which is weird, so I guess it balances up.
