1926
Ash Wednesday. Fires lit by Brujah agitators in the surrounding forests around Melbourne devastate the state. Fully one third of the state forests are burnt to the ground. On the Thursday, the winds turn and the fires tear through much of the north of Melbourne. 1/5th of the city was burnt to the ground.

Lodin took advantage of the chaos to seize leadership. Slowly cleans up remaining Kindred that could threaten him.

1940-1955
Despite the war in Europe, this is a time of peace in Melbourne

1950
Influx of 1.68 million European kine bring with the their Kindred counterparts. Over the next 15 years, there is a build up of racial intolerance and new Kindred are treated worse than Caitiff.

Anarchs (new kindred) take up their banner while existing kindred, scared of the sudden influx of new competition for the limited kine in Melbourne, try to repress them further.

1968
Night of Rage.
Tensions build to the point where they suddenly explode. Riots start when an attempt is made to break up anti-Vietnam demonstrations around the American consulate. There is open warfare on the streets between mortal and kindred groups. In the next week, all slept lightly in their daytime havens.

1968-1970
These two years are known as the War of the Ages. Anarchs and Elder supporters snipe and ambush each other while incidental gang activity breaks out amongst the kine. Archons are called in by the Camarilla to put down the Anarchs, but have limited sucess.

1970
Night of Fire
Given permission by the Ventrue Justicar to deal with the 'Anarch problem, Lodin unleashed all of his forces. Anti-vietnam rallies in Melbourne, led by popular politicians, and with 70,000 mortals involved, are held in the CBD. By night-time, the protestors had settled down to a sit in. At midnight, Police attack the protestors with anti-riot gear (it is later claimed that the protestors had begun looting), and this, combined with Elder Kindred completely slaughter the Anarch movement.

1983
Council Wars
Alan Gianco gains popular control of Labour Party and romps home in the elections. Much good is done.
Lodin loses control of the mortal politics, and the reformed anarchs run in circles around his enforcers. In particular, the Kindred known as Maldavis rises to the fore and she leads her supports on raid after raid against Lodin.

1987
Lodin once again regains control of Melbourne. Gianco has a heart attack courtesy of Lodin and John Caine takes over. The next 4 years 'reveal' the corruption and graft from within the Labour party, and eventually Kennet is elected. Maldavis is reputed to have been destroyed, along with a score of her Kindred allies. All the Anarchs go to ground
